Learning Log Due Dates for the Week of May 29, 2012:

Wednesday, May 30: learning log #7: Bruins and Blues

Thursday, May 31: learning log #7: Flyers and Canadians

Learning logs should be completed for homework after you have worked in school and at least for 30 minutes or more at home.

 

In log #7, choose the type of product that you will do for the project:

•Photo Story 3 (originally VoiceThread)
•Web site using Google’s eBlogger
•Performance
•Documentary film using Windows MovieMaker

After today, all groups will have a double block of class either on Wednesday or Thursday this week:

—Double Block of Class for: Bruins and Blue on Wednesday, May 30.

—Double Block of Class for: Flyers and Canadians on Thursday, May 31.

All resources and deadlines will be listed on the wiki. Remember, your topic for the project is due as soon as possible.

All groups will be having social studies each day this week.

Notetaking Information:

We encourage you to take notes on Google Docs with the templates we shared with you. You may also take notes in your social studies journal. Please stick to one format. Make sure your notes:

  • cite the source of your information
  • have the date the notes were taken

Each night this week, you are expected to be working on your project for at least 25 minutes for homework.

What’s Up for Tuesday, May 8 and Wednesday, May 9, 2012

8th Graders

•Science NECAPs begin for 8th graders on Tuesday, May 8. You will be taking two tests that day.

•Science NECAPs continue on Wednesday, May 9 with the final test.

7th Graders

•7th graders need to come dressed ready to hike on Tuesday. Bring raingear, lunch, water, backpack (everything for a hike) and extra clothes. We will be preparing you for your role as an 8th grader for the 2012-2013 school year.
