A Mini Inquiry Project—Something Is Happening in Egypt—What is It?

Today, your challenge in class is to investigate what is going on in Egypt. Is this a watershed moment in history—a big deal? What’s happening there? I am not going to tell you much more than that.

Working in your group, find out what’s going on. What questions do you have? Begin here and come up with a list of questions. Add to your list as you uncover the facts. Dig deeper, ask even more questions.

Take notes in your geography/history journal; begin on a new, left-hand page. Date the page and title it: Research Notes: Egypt.

Task

Your task is to create a group briefing/presentation that will be delivered to your class. Use a presentation file in Google Docs. Create at least 5 slides. Decide what information you need to share with the class such as background, etc. Plan and organize your briefing/presentation. All members must participate. Your briefing/presentation should be 4 to 5 minutes long. Cite your sources.

Briefing/presentations are due on Wednesday, Feb. 2 for Eisenhower and Carter and on Thursday, Feb. 3 for Lincoln and Washington. See change on prior post.
